Day 1
WELCOME TO CHARLESTON!

Upon arrival, you will be greeted joyfully by your on-site coordinator, and transferred as a group to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to relax or stroll the French Quarter. No dinner is schedule for this evening.

Day 2
Private Carriage & Leisure Walking Tour

There's no more charming a way to get a welcoming overview to this beautiful city than via horse drawn carriages and exploring Charleston's hidden alleyways and courts. You will see houses, gardens, mansions, churches and parks as you learn about the history, architecture, flora and people!

Day 3
Middleton Place + Private Cooking Demo and Dinner

We'll spend our morning at Middleton Place, where you'll learn about the experiences of the generations of enslaved who lived and worked here. History, once lost, is found and brought to life in a relevant way that connects us as Americans. Enjoy lunch on-site before returning to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure.

This evening you'll learn why low country cuisine is on the map. An intimate cooking experience with Chef Owen brings the comfort of the south to the kitchen. Chef Owen promises every meal is a unique social and culinary experience!

Day 4
Indigo Dyeing Workshop + Chef Scholar Dinner

This morning you'll learn the fundamentals of using indigo dye from beginning to end. Your expert will discuss the history of indigo in South Carolina and then dive into how to create beautiful patterns using different methods. Choose from a variety of items to dye including robes, tea towels, kaftans and more.

Created to honor the legacies of African American chefs who have laid the foundation for modern day chefs. In an extremely intimate setting in a historic home, you'll enjoy a cocktail hour with hors d"oeuvres, followed by a lovely four course meal of unique regional dishes, complete with wine pairings. Through education and entertainment, your Chef tells the stories of honored chef's lives, while attendees can ask questions and share their thoughts.

Day 5

Step aboard the Charleston Lady for a private sailing, a beautifully crafted vessel reminiscent of the city's maritime heritage. Accompanied by a local historian, enjoy mimosas and light bites as you soak in panoramic views of the harbor. Listen to captivating stories of Charleston's rich history, from colonial beginnings to its role in shaping American heritage. Relax, immerse yourself in the city's soul, and let the beauty of the harbor unfold before you.
